We are looking for K-5 classes around the world to join us on
February 16, 2017 for a World Read Aloud Day Skypeathon.
To make this project accessable to even more classrooms this year, we have created two ways for you and your class to participate.
Tier 1 is the easiest to do. If you register for the project at this level, you will commit to creating a video of your class reading a book to share with the world. You and your students choose the book, and you and your students choose how you are going to have your class share. It can be as simple as students reading on camera, or as elaborate as a full enactment with costumes. Upload your video to a hosting site like YouTube, and share your students' awesomeness with the world on February 16th for World Read Aloud Day by sharing the video on Twitter using the hashtag #WRADSkype. Then, you and your students can spend some time watching videos from all the other participating classes around the globe.
